How To – Amy’s Cherry Mango Smoothie
Whenever need a quick on-the-go breakfast I think of smoothies. Wait, that is a total lie, I think of breakfast sandwiches. But I can’t have one every day, because that would be…bad? Yes. That would be bad. So, for an everyday, healthy, on-the-go breakfast, a smoothie is the best choice. For years I brought smoothies to work in mason jars. Some days the smoothie was a success – colourful and fruity. Other days it was a muddy mess (too much protein powder and spinach).
Two weeks ago I finally stumbled upon the perfect smoothie combination. I have made it almost every day for the past two weeks and even if the proportions aren’t exactly the same as the day before it is still beautiful and delicious.
My pet name for this smoothie is ‘Tart the day off right’ because while sweet, this wonderful breakfast has a tangy, tart taste.
Here is my recipe:
(note, proportions are for two servings and are not exact. Feel free to play with the proportions to make it to your liking).

That sounds wonderful! Do you buy your frozen cherries, or do them yourself?

I buy frozen – the PC Brand at Loblaws are good. That said, when I can buy them for a good price in the summer, I freeze them.
